Chocolate cherry mice is a fun and easy recipe for everyone! My grandma taught me how to make them and I hope other people will enjoy making them as much as I do. It’s a really nice dessert to make with kids.

Ingredients
- 1 package of sharing sized Hershey’s Milk Chocolate Kisses
- 1 bag of melting chips or other melting chocolate
- Red glitter gel (or other color for eyes)
- 1 jar Maraschino cherries with stems
- Almond slivers (you can substitute with candy pieces or little chocolate bits)
Instructions
- Get a large glass bowl. You can either melt the melting chocolate in a microwave or in a double boiler. You’ll need a pot for the double boiler method.
- Melt your chocolate in the bowl. If you use a microwave, put it in for 30 seconds and then take out to stir. Repeat until desired consistency.
- While the chocolate is melting, take out some cherries and dry them on paper towels.
- Set out the desired amount of Hershey’s kisses and almond slivers.
- Get out wax paper or aluminum foil to set together mice.
- Once the chocolate is ready, dip the cherries in the chocolate to completely cover the fruit.
- Set the covered cherry on the foil or wax paper and push up the Hershey Kiss again it so the kiss is tilting up.
- Add the almond slivers or candy pieces right behind the Hershey kiss so it looks like ears.
- Let the mice sit till the chocolate has dried (usually 1 hour).
- Add decoration of eyes and nose with glitter gel.
- Let sit for another 1 hour.
- Enjoy!
